Friday 16 December saw the first Biggar Public Art Workshop to discuss plans for a piece of Public Art at the Public Park. Young people from the surrounding area joined with members of the local community & South Lanarkshire Council to talk about Public Art in general and the site in particular. Mirka Ryjakova, SLC Arts Development Officer, gave a presentation showing examples of Public Art around the world, and this was followed by a general discussion of ideas including what young people attending could learn from the Project over the next few months.
